This is a rare Quoll we caught glimpse of in Tasmania near Strathgordon Dam. These are apparently very shy creatures, this one however came right up to us and started smelling my boot. Brave little critter!

It looks like a spotted rat - are they mean? its red eyes are scary! Yikes!!!
