Perth Wheel
Apologies for my recent spate of missed posts. Life has been busy!
As appears to be fashionable these days, Perth has a observation wheel. It is set by the water and offers awesome views.

Tram in Melbourne
Melbourne is famous for it's tram ways, they run down the middle of many of the roads. They certainly make driving in the city a little more tricky.

It was the start of the Brisbane Festival yesterday and the famous Riverfire. Here is one of our best shots of the fireworks shooting off the famous Storey Bridge.

Spirit of Tasmania Ferry
This is the ferry from the Prot of Melbourne, Victoria over to Devonport in Tasmania. We took the 4x4 over with us and I thought the fare was reasonable. The journey takes 9 hours and we did an overnight run without the benefit of a cabin. Instead we had to sleep in what I can only descride as airplane chairs! Needless to say we were up early the next day watching the sun rise! I have a picture for a later date, stay tuned ;)

Torrens River, Adelaide
This is the very relaxed city of Adelaide and it's Torrens River. Adelaide is a very nice city with a lot of green space. It doesn't get the acolades and attention of Sydney and Melbourne but that's the way they seem to like it around here! Adelaide is the 5th biggest city in Australia and is also the driest. The road into Adelaide is the steepest, longest, fastest downhill run I have ever done - quite unnerving!
Parliament of Victoria - Melbourne
This Grand old building sits in Spring Street on the outskirts of Melbourne's city centre. The building was started in 1855 and was completed in stages in 1929. We liked Melbourne a lot and I think the thing that stood out the most was the history and old buildings that are still prominent there.

Canberra - The Nations Capital
Canberra is a very attractive city with lots of parks and memorials, even the roads are beautiful. That's just as well as if you have ever tried to drive in Canberra you will understand how easy it to take a wrong turn!
