This amazingly flat water was taken at Gordon Dam in central Tasmania. The ripple in the lake was as simple as me throwing in a stone before taking the image - Cool huh?

Beautiful Tasmanian Coastline
Wildlife Wednesday 25 - Flora
Tasmanian Rainbow
This shot was taken from the side of the road in North East Tasmania, exact location unknown. Amazing what you see when you spend so much time on the road.
Wine Glass Bay - Tasmania
This tranquil place is called Wine Glass Bay (for obvious reasons). It is in Freycinet National Park in Tasmania.
The walk to the beach from this photographing location was steep and very tricky. The way back was a killer!
Amazing View - Mt Wellington, Hobart
Gordon Dam - Tasmania
Wildlife Wednesday 17 - Quoll
Wildlife Wednesday 16 - Onion Munching Sheep
I know sheep are pretty boring but these ones weren't - they were munching a farmers onions in a field that had a ton of onions drying in the sun. Who would have thought they would have eaten raw onions!!
Moss Covered Rocks - Nelson Falls
This shot was taken in central Tasmania and I love the green of the rocks. The atmosphere was so wet here, the rainforest was thriving.
Binalong Bay in the Bay of Fires
Binalong Bay is a truly beautiful place on the east Coast of Tasmania. The beach here is rated as one of the most beatiful in the world. It was overcast when we arrived here and as you know beaches don't look good unless the sun is shining! We walked to the far end of the beach and waited, the sun only popped out at intervals but we managed to get a few good shots. This remains a top favourite spot of ours.
Low Tide, Port Sorell, Tasmania
We did not stay in Port Sorell but we passed through. Low tide makes for an interesting image of the boats leaning on their bottoms.
Pirates Bay, Tasmania
I love the way the cliffs stand out in this shot of Pirates Bay in Tasmania.
There are a few interesting things to see in the Pirates bay area including 'Doo Town', The Tessalated Pavement, Devils Kitchen and Eagle Hawk Neck. Well worth a visit.
Sunrise aboard Spirit of Tasmania
Spirit of Tasmania Ferry
This is the ferry from the Prot of Melbourne, Victoria over to Devonport in Tasmania. We took the 4x4 over with us and I thought the fare was reasonable. The journey takes 9 hours and we did an overnight run without the benefit of a cabin. Instead we had to sleep in what I can only descride as airplane chairs! Needless to say we were up early the next day watching the sun rise! I have a picture for a later date, stay tuned ;)
Richmond Bridge - Tasmania
This is the oldest remaining bridge in Australia. It is Richmond Bridge over the Coal River in Tasmania. Richmond is a wonderful little town and nowhere reminded me more of home in the Cotswolds (UK) than here.
Nelson Falls, Tasmania
Wildlife Wednesday 7 - Pademelon
This little guy is called a Pademelon, he came walking into our camp one night in Tasmania looking for food. Pedemelons are marsupials and very similar to Wallabies and Kangaroos only smaller.
Blow Hole - Bicheno
Lake King William - Morning Mist
This shot reminds me of great times. We arrived late in a small town called Derwent Bridge in central Tasmania. We were looking for a campsite but there was nothing suitable. We grabbed the 'free' camps book and found this place by the side of Lake King William only 5 mins away and absolutely free. Had a good night around a campfire making new friends. This was the view when we got up in the morning. Mist rising from the water.
