I know, I know... you are all missing me! Sorry.
To make it up to you I have decided to post 2 waterfalls from Atherton Tablelands. First up is Zillie Falls, then the enchanted Ellinjaa Falls
Both very beautiful after a long while of dry outback!
Waterfalls of Atherton
Night Light - Paronella Park
Wangi Falls - Litchfield National Park
Once again to the fabulous Litchfield National Park, this is Wangi Falls.
Great place to cool off and play in the waterfall. For those of you who read our trip blog, this is the place Heidi rescued the guy who couldn't swim!
100th Post today!! Favourite Destination
This is all of us enjoying Twin Falls all to ourselves. The whole story of the trip can be found here - Trip Around Australia Blog
Nelson Falls, Tasmania
Florence Falls - Litchfield National Park
Litchfield NP is the less well known National Park near Darwin in the Northern Territory. Many say though that it is better than Kakadu ad s it is smaller and more accessible. I would have to agree after going to both.
Here is Florence Falls on a beautiful hot day, naturally we went for a swim to cool off (after we had come to the conclusion that is was a croc free zone!)....
Rainforest Tranquility - Mount Field National Park
This photo was taken in Tasmania, Australia's island state. The waterfall is called "Horseshoe Falls" because after heavy rain both sides of this waterfall flow in a curve and meet in the middle. When I took this shot there was only enough water for half the horseshoe but it still makes for a beautiful photo.
Tasmania is an affordable 9 hour ferry trip from Melbourne Victoria.
The falls are located in central Tasmania in Mount Field National Park and are 100 metres up stream from the amazing Russell Falls (photo still to come ;-)
