A nice close up image of a honey bee on a pink Gerbera Daisy I think?
Wildlife Wednesday 26 - The humble Honey Bee
Wildlife Wednesday 25 - Flora
Wildlife Wednesday 24 - Tiger Shark
Hi All
Been a while since the last Wildlife shot. I took this less than an hour after being in that water snorkelling in the Ningaloo Reef. A scary sight, that's for sure.
Wildlife Wednesday 23 - Magpie Goose
Wildlife Weds again and if I am honest I am starting to run out of fauna photos. I might resort to including flora to as well :)
Today's wildlife is a Magpie Goose and was captured in a tree in Cape York far north Queensland. I was reliably informed that they are quite rare!
Camel Rides on Cable Beach Broome
This is a great shot of The camels on Cable beach at sunset.
Wildlife Wednesday 22 - Termites
Wildlife Wednesday 21 - Frogmouth Owl
Wildlife Wednesday 19 - Thorny Devil
Wildlife Wednesday 18 - Soldier Crabs
Cow in a tree in Melbourne
Wildlife Wednesday 17 - Quoll
Wildlife Wednesday 16 - Onion Munching Sheep
I know sheep are pretty boring but these ones weren't - they were munching a farmers onions in a field that had a ton of onions drying in the sun. Who would have thought they would have eaten raw onions!!
Wildlife Wednesday 15 - Dolphin
This shot was taken in Monkey Mia, Shark Bay, Western Australia. The Dolphins come in here for one small fish every day. They are still considered wild as this is nowhere near enough to feed them fully.
I got to personally hand feed one of the dolphins, great experience.
Wildlife Wednesday 14 - Rainbow lorikeet
This cheeky little fella is a Rainbow Lorikeet. They are a beautiful playful bird, this one in particular was taken at The Polish place in Mt Tamborine, Queensland. So cheeky are they here, that they wait for you to finish your coffee and cake and then jump in and lick your plate clean!!
This image is now available for purchase at my store Image Australia
Wildlife Wednesday 13 - Pelican
These Pelicans were very tame, they were in Monkey Mia in the Shark Bay World Heritage area. This shot was taken moments after I had hand fed a technically Wild Dolphin. Monkey Mia is a great place to visit, but be prepared to travel to get there - it is very remote. Outback by the sea I would say!
Wildlife Wednesday 12 - Dingo
This shot of 2 Dingos searching for food was taken on Fraser Island. The Dingos here are said to be the purest left in Australia as they have had less opportunity to inter breed with wild dogs.
The beach is the main highway on Fraser, as you can see these guys were feeding right in the middle of it!
Crocodile Warning Sign - Kakadu National Park
This was our first real warning of the large Saltwater Crocodile. Pretty scary to think that you can't walk down the road as you may be eaten!
Needless to say we drove!
Wildlife Wednesday 11 - White Peacock
Now I know this is not technically 'Wild' life but I thought this guy was worth a mention. It is the White Peacock at Sandfire Roadhouse in Western Austraila. There were lots of Peacocks roaming here and around the campsite. Great stopping point on the way to Broome.
Wildlife Wednesday 10 - Possum
